Easy-LTSP Kiwi Configuration
by The_Code on Jun.09, 2008, under LTSP-GUI
After a long time not posting anything here’s one for you:
The advanced part of kiwi-ltsp configuration is based in the mainwindow. The whole process for setting up kiwi-ltsp is controlled by a menu.
Newest binaries are available at : ftp://forgeftp.novell.com/kiwi-ltsp/easy-ltsp-0.2.tar.gz
Check it out and if you like, give a little feedback!

Is mono really needed? The files below look frightening for a linux system. I guess that some distros won’t use easy ltsp at all because of mono
Easy-LTSP/Easy-LTSP.Common.dll
Easy-LTSP/kiwi-ltsp
Easy-LTSP/ip-easy-ltsp-config.py
Easy-LTSP/Easy-LTSP.Common.Widgets.dll
Easy-LTSP/README
Easy-LTSP/Easy-LTSP.exe
Easy-LTSP/Easy-LTSP.Common.Terminal.dll
Easy-LTSP/Easy-LTSP.KiwiConfiguration.dll
Easy-LTSP/easy-ltsp.conf

From my point of view it’s needed, cause i like to use it! We can discuss about the fact that .exe .dll files don’t look like they belong in a linux system. But this are just extensions!
One thing i don’t get in your comment:
What is frightening about:
easy-ltsp.conf = a config file
ip-easy-ltsp-config.py = a python script
kiwi-ltsp = the normal kiwi-ltsp configuration file
README = a simple plain text file containing instructions
And for mono: Think of beagle or banshee or f-spot!

Beagle brings only bad memories to my mind. With each opensuse release I shot beagle, because it was a resource
bottle neck, really terrible. I don’t use f-spot nor banshee,
so I can’t comment on those 2.
I complaint is only about using mono. Not about the other
files.
